After 3 heart attacks, a failed stent procedure, sextuple bypass and valve repair had me hospitalized for 3 weeks – I was offered home care. Terrified, because at that point I was so weak I couldn’t lift myself from the toilet. With no support at home I knew I wouldn’t be able to live independently. Reedy River offered to take me, it was a godsend. After 3 more weeks of rest and rehab, I was finally ready to go home. I’m so thankful for the care I received here. No, it’s not a resort and the facility is older, probably understaffed and in less than perfect repair, but again a godsend and paradise for me. The staff here have a very difficult job and they do the best they can. A place like this is so important for the community and the SC assembly should make sure it has adequate funding. Don’t worry, you or your loved ones will receive good care here. THANK YOU EVERYBODY AT REEDY RIVER.

My mom has been staying there for almost a month now, and CNA Chances has made her feel very comfortable in this new environment. I’ve personally seen how hard she works, and it truly shows in the care she provides. Reedy is very lucky to have her on their team.”

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY. They don’t watch the patients closely my grandma is here and woke up with a man in her bathroom. They haven’t given her any pain meds and she has broken ribs. They don’t give much of a meal and they placed my grandmas tray out of reach and she never had anyone come help her get it. The place is dirty and employees are rude. They only give showers 2 times a week. Ridiculous. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

I went to see my grandfather in Reedy River post acute yesterday and he was left to eat his lunch in a stinky diaper 💩 . I had to say something in order for someone to come change him .I doubt anyone of them would like to try and eat food with 💩on them . Also the same trash that was on the floor when I was there two days before was still on the floor.

Do not leave your family members/friends here if no one is able to come at least once a day. Night shift is even worse than the day.

I had a stay here for about 6 weeks, going in I was nervous and scared. But the very first day here my CNA Jerome was amazing and made me feel so welcomed. I then had the pleasure of also having wonderful nurse’s Ms. Melani and Rachel. They made my stay here so much easier for me. I’m glad to be going home but I’m so thankful for the people I had caring for me.

1/29/26 – I spoke with Melania and she provide outstanding customer service. Melania went out of her way to make sure I had the opportunity to speak with my brother. If she was my employee I would consider her for a management role! I live in south West Florida and I dont get to see my brother as much I would like too, and Melania made my day

We have been very pleased with everything and everyone here. They are all so professional and are so caring. Their compassion for their patients shows and they are pleasant and considerate with family members. They go out of their way, above and beyond, to help with their patients comfort. And the food is amazing. The admin staff are very helpful as well and always there to answer any questions. I cannot express enough how much we appreciate them all.

I was so scared of going to a short term rehab for physical therapy after I broke my hip. However, I am very glad that I chose Reedy River!! I have my own room which is not usually possible in other places. My nurse during the day is a beautiful and very kind, patient woman named Melania. She addresses my medicinal needs as soon as I ask and will ALWAYS bring what I need as it becomes available! She never disappears and has been very kind the whole time! I’ve had Rachel as my night nurse and she is also very kind to me and addresses my needs as soon as they come up, like my day nurse. My Physical therapy, Rebecca has been an angel and today is my first day going to the gym…im actually really excited about it! I met the Dr the second day I was here and she was great too. The CNAs are who you will see the most, some are fantastic like the nurses and some aren’t which is going to be that way no matter where you go. I will say that when they have to wait on me to teach myself how to walk again with a walker they have all shown an exemplary amount of patience! Just keep up your positive energy and if you are kind to the staff they will also be kind to you! The only thing I didnt like is the food. I am a VERY picky eater so they always bring me an ALT meal …which they are very kind to do!! Thank you to the Reedy River staff for being so good to me!!

I am a patient here now and I have the best nurses Melani and Angel. anytime I have a problem the staff is quick to help and fix whatever I need. I’ve been to Patewood and other facilities and it was ok but I’ve had the best experience at Reedy River so far. Everyone here is down to Earth.

This is an older facility but well-maintained. You can tell that the staff are very happy, not the least bit disgruntled. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I experienced wonderful nurses(Milani is outstanding well is Rachel) and CNAs(Aisha and Tasha). I personally watched the level of the above-and-beyond attitude by all staff members, Dietary services needs some improvement. Housekeeping and maintenance are excellent and they take pride in their jobs. The physical therapy department is amazing and professional,. I’ve personally been a patient in to newer facilities but looks aren’t what you need especially when there is a post-hospital need with a goal to be fully functional upon returning to home.

I had a disappointing and disturbing experience at this nursing home. I arrived from out of state to visit my 95-year-old uncle, who had recently been admitted as a resident. The place had a strong urine odor, and residents were sitting in the hallway unattended. The nurse at the information desk was rude and unhelpful when we asked questions. I won’t post photos of the residents, but I’m deeply disappointed and disgusted by the conditions. I hope the new management is ab to quickly access the location and make the necessary changes to ensure a better experience for family and friends of current residents.
This place needs to be shut down! Neglected my Grandmother! Who is now passed away! How dare you! God is watching and the ones who done it will have to answer for it one day!
I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience at Reedy River Post-Acute Care Facility. I have been a resident for a number of months, and I’ve had the opportunity to experience the services offered and provided. I’ve been most satisfied with the care I have received. As far as the staff, nursing, dietary, and CNA’s, I have been extremely content and happy in these departments. The administration, consisting of the Administrator, Mr. Bills, DON, the various of unit managers, especially Susan, down to the Medical Records Director, Mandy, has been most proficient! We as residents are blessed to have our new administrator Mr. Bills, he is constantly praised as he has made effective changes in just a short period of time. No matter the situation, he is on board with the residents and their care. He is more than just an administrator; he is a dear friend to all. Last but not least, the food is phenomenal, the kitchen manager does a marvelous job at meeting all needs, and wants.

This place is nice as far as some nurses … The facility has bugs cockroach s . The administration is nice until you pay and get sind up . They don’t check on you . And it’s unsafe . The residents can’t go outside.its like a grave yard . I give it a 1. Because of the food .
When I have gone there, it’s been great however, if I need to get in touch with anyone at the establishment, I’ve never had anyone call me back ever

The facility is well organized. Rehab, nursing, and CNAs really care about the residents and it shows.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother-in-law went to Reedy River Post Acute. The staff members were kind and helpful when we first arrived, but over time, as we continued to visit my mother-in-law, they were not helpful, they were not responsive, they were argumentative, and they did not give her proper care. When we questioned it, it became a literal fight. They offered karaoke, card games, and bingo on the second floor, which was not 100% accessible because they were in the middle of renovation. The dining area was under renovation, and they were either eating in their rooms on a tray or in the hallways. They need to spend more money on renovation and updates, and they need to have better training for their staff.
I just pulled my mom from this location today 6/01/2025!!! When we arrived the first thing we witnessed was two nurses yelling and arguing in the hallway about to get into an altercation! I go into my mom’s room and the smell was horrific!!!! The whole room smelled like urine. The lady informed us that my mother had not been changed or even checked on. She was soaked in urine. So when I asked why they said they had been busy and hadn’t gotten to her yet. I asked for her to be able to take a bath and they inform me that she is only allowed to bathe on Thursday once a week!!!! I would not recommend anyone to put a loved one in this place. I can not think of one good thing about this place and I feel horrible for the ones that are currently there. If someone is there that you know please go check on them!!!
